The new Colectica 7.7 release is available now for both software evaluation and to current customers. If you would like to try Colectica free of charge please request a Colectica evaluation. Colectica consists of several software tools.
- Colectica Repository: A centralized, version-controlled metadata storage system based on ISO/PAS 25955 (DDI) and ISO/IEC 11179 (Metadata registries) that tracks every change and supports collaborative workflows across teams. It integrates seamlessly with Colectica Portal to publish, search, and share metadata online, ensuring that your data documentation is always current and accessible.
- Colectica Designer: A robust tool for documenting the full survey lifecycle, from designing methodologies and instruments to detailing questions, variables, and datasets. Whether you’re managing repeated, longitudinal, or standalone studies, Designer streamlines the creation and maintenance of comprehensive survey documentation.
- Colectica SDK: A developer-friendly kit that provides ready-made access to the DDI information model. It offers libraries for reading, writing, and validating DDI-compliant metadata, enabling you to integrate advanced metadata processing capabilities into your Colectica extensions and custom applications with minimal effort.
- Colectica Questionnaires: An intuitive, DDI-based survey specification tool that allows you to visually design surveys and automatically generate multiple outputs, including code, paper forms, and standardized documentation. This ensures rapid design iterations and consistent survey deployment across various platforms.
- Colectica Workflow: A robust metadata publication tool designed for large organizations, Colectica Workflow manages the process of publishing metadata across multiple repositories. It allows users to submit publication requests while giving administrators the ability to review and approve these requests. Additionally, the system applies filters during data transfers between repositories, such as from a secure internal repository to a public one, to ensure that sensitive information remains protected.
All of these products use Open Standards to allow for interoperability with other tools. Colectica products, training on Open Standards, documentation, and customized software solutions are available through https://www.colectica.com .
A new release of Colectica Reader, the free viewer for DDI data documentation, and Colectica for Excel are also available to the general public.
