A paper titled "Integrating Colectica, Nesstar, and DDI-Lifecycle" will be presented in collaboration with Nesstar. This presentation will highlight how DDI-Lifecycle version 3 that is managed in Colectica can be integrated with the Nesstar server. This enables publishing data on the web using Nesstar while managing the DDI-Lifecycle metadata in Colectica. The presentation will give an overview of how the integration was achieved and a demonstration of the simple end user workflows it enables.
Another paper titled "Colectica for Excel: Increasing Data Accessibility using Open Standards" will also be presented. Colectica for Excel is a new free Excel Addin that describes data files, variables, and code lists directly within the Microsoft Excel application using open standards. Importing SPSS and Stata data into Excel, along with metadata, is also included in the software release. The software implements leading open standards including the Data Documentation Initiative Lifecycle version 3 and ISO 11179.
Colectica will also be at the poster session to display "Colectica: Sharing Data through Open Standards". This booth will provide live demonstrations of the various components of the Colectica platform. A use case demonstration will also show how Colectica aims to create publishable documentation as a by-product of the data management process.
